Greetings!
I’m Sadé (pronounced “shah-day”).
Greetings! I am a communication professional currently based in San Diego, California. I have 8 years of experience crafting a variety of communication products and marketing materials to inform, promote and compel target audiences. I am successful at directing, training and working cross-functionally with teams to achieve project goals. I am also highly effective at developing project plans, negotiating vendor contracts and managing extensive budgets.
I volunteer with Alliance for African Assistance as a grant writer and research assistant. Alliance is a San Diego area non-profit that assists refugees, asylees and victims of torture primarily from Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia in their resettlement process. I also volunteer with The San Diego LGBT Community Center.
I graduated with honors from North Carolina State University with a bachelor of arts in Communication – Media and I was inducted into the Lambda Pie Eta – Communication Honor Society.
I am passionate about writing, painting, and drawing (check out some of my work here). In my free time, I enjoy scouring antique stores, hiking, and weight lifting. I love the colors yellow and orange, listening to folk and old school tunes, French romcoms and quirky films.
